Responsibilities

  • Working with highly agile team of product managers, designers, engineers, and architects
  • Design of the overall architecture of the web application.
  • Implementation of a robust set of services and APIs to power the web application
  • Integration of the front-end and back-end aspects of the web application
  • Write clean, testable, reusable code and libraries
  • Translation of UI/UX wireframes to visual elements.
  • Optimization of the application for maximum speed, scalability, compatibility.
  • Design and Develop APIs for the web application.
  • Make sure that the use of external dependencies/APIs and build tools are up to date.
  • Select and regularly update the best third party libraries, and be mindful of licensing and terms.

 

The ideal candidate must have 3-5 years of software development experience using

  • End to end software development stack (Ideally Angular, Servlets, Java, MySQL, or a comparable stack such as MEAN)
  • Frameworks (Spring, ORM/Hibernate, XML/XSL, DropWizard, Play, Grails)
  • Latest web technologies (HTML5, TypeScript, ES6, WebSockets, WebWorkers, Service Workers, WebAssembly, Web Components, Shadow DOM, Polymer)
  • AWS (IAM, CloudFront, EC2, SES, S3, Aurora, RedShift)
  • Data presentation frameworks (SVG, WebGL, D3.js, Google Charts, eCharts)
  • Post CSS (SASS, SCSS)
  • Build tools (Gulp, Grunt, Webpack)
  • Object oriented programming, data structure, design patterns, and algorithms

 

Plus

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Experience of Apache Cordova, Ionic, React Native
  • Node WebKit, Electron
